Program Description
1. Class Time
Beijing Time 16:00-19:30 (4 class hours/day), 30 minutes break
2. Method of Learning
Online Course (Software used: Zoom)
3. Courses
(A minimum number of 10 students is required to start a class, around 25 students with a similar level of Chinese language will study in the same class.)
General track:
(1). The general track consists of Intensive Reading, Spoken Chinese, Listening, Reading, and Writing classes, for a total
of 20 class hours per week. And below is a sample class schedule.(2). Levels: The track is divided into 9 levels: Elementary 1, Elementary 2, Elementary 3, Elementary 4, Intermediate 1,
Intermediate 2, Intermediate 3, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2.Special class:
Advanced Culture and Business Course(also known as Advanced 3)
Target students: advanced students
Program Objectives: To provide seminars on Chinese traditional culture, Chinese society and Chinese economy for advanced students
who want to take deeper dive into China.
Program format: 20 class hours per week, with the following classes: Advanced Business Chinese, Financial Chinese, Selected Readings of Chinese Literature, Chinese history and culture, English to Chinese Translation, etc. (Classes may vary. Please refer to the class schedule of the semester you intends to attend for)4. Payment
When you are pre-admitted (within about 10 working days), you will receive an automatic confirmation email sent by the system. If your application is officially approved, the school will send an electronic Admission Notice to you by email later. Please finish the payment before Aug.30th according to the instruction. After successfully paying the tuition fee, please attend the following placement test.
*Note: Please notice that because the course turn to be an online form, the university will not issue the visa documents to students. (such as the JW202 form) If you are already in China, please upload your visa page and pay attention to the visa expiration date to avoid overstaying.

5. FAQs
(1). Does Shanghai Jiao Tong University provide completion certificate and transcript?
Students are required to attend classes every day and take the final exam. Electronic certificates and transcripts will be provided upon the completion of the courses.
(2). May I get a refund if I drop out the course?
According to the regulations in "Handbook for International Students Studying Chinese Language", students who apply to withdraw school within the first two weeks of the new semester are eligible for a 75% refund of tuition. Students who apply to withdraw during the third week of the new semester are eligible for a 50% refund of tuition. No refunds will be given after the third week of the semester. -

If you are studying at another university/school in China, please submit your study transcript and an attendance letter issued by the International Student Office or the school of your host university with their contact information.
Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit.
